The name Erema derives from Etruscan and means small plant, in reference to the ancient origin of the vine.

ORIGIN
Vineyards owned by the winery, grown on soils made up of granite weathering, partly composed of sand and clay.
PROCESSING
Following the manual harvest, the bunches are destemmed and sent for fermentation in steel vats at a controlled temperature. Maceration takes place on the skins and lasts about two weeks. Before bottling the wine matures for a few months sur lie in steel tanks. It can rest in the cellar for 2-3 years.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: intense ruby red, garnet shades.
Perfume: hints of cherries, ripe berries, secondary earthy notes.
Taste: fresh, soft and juicy.
COMBINATIONS
Excellent if combined with first courses seasoned with meat sauces or with roast meats such as the typical Maialetto. Also good accompaniment as an aperitif together with fresh cheeses, cold cuts and cured meats.
Perfect then with a good pizza topped with porcini mushrooms and bacon.
