Barrosu in the Sardinian language means bold, stubborn, arrogant and it is the nickname that with great self-irony Giovanni Montisci gave to his wine and to himself. The name of this wine is instead a dedication that the owner dedicates to his wife Franzisca (Francesca).

ORIGIN

90 year old sapling vineyards, located in Mamoiada.

PROCESSING

The production is only 2500 bottles, it comes from the oldest vines, about 90 years old. Pure Cannonau, left to macerate for 25 days on the skins and then subjected to manual punching down. Aged for two years in large barrels.

CHARACTERISTICS

Color: dark ruby ​​red.

Perfume: intensity and exuberance that do not make discounts. The Mediterranean trace is immediately evident from the olfactory point of view, hints of cocoa, oregano, red fruit jam.

Taste: Taste of great warmth and impact. Sensations perfectly balanced by uncommon freshness and flavor.

COMBINATIONS

Ideal with structured dishes, such as stewed wild boar, but also grilled red meats and mature cheeses such as Fiore Sardo.
