GRAPES 90% Monica, 10% native red grapes.
GRADATION 14%
ORIGIN
The area surrounding the winery is characterised by medium-textured soils composed of clayey limestone of Miocene origin, medium hilly position, sub-arid climate.
PROCESSING
The grapes, after destemming and crushing, are sent to fermentation which lasts for 8-10 days at a temperature of 26°C. After racking, the wine is transferred into glass-lined cement tanks where it undergoes malolactic fermentation. After a period of refinement in the bottle for a few months, it is put on the market.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: ruby red with purple reflections, tending towards garnet with aging.
Aroma: intense and persistent, ethereal, vinous, with hints of raspberry and cherry.
Taste: warm, rightly tannic, persistent, with a delicate herbaceous vein.
COMBINATIONS
Arenada is a versatile red wine, which lends itself well to accompany first courses, even well-seasoned ones, such as risotto or eggplant parmigiana. It can then be paired with second courses of land, such as our roast suckling pig and grilled pork chops. Let's not neglect seafood pairings, such as grilled tuna belly and stewed dishes such as pasta and bean soup , savory pies and well-seasoned pizza. Also excellent with medium-aged cheeses.
