PROCESSING
Anghelu Ruju comes from only Cannonau grapes dried for 15/20 days on cane frames raised from the ground and covered every night for protection in case of bad weather. Controlled temperature fermentation which stops with the aid of cold at 100 g/l of residual sugars. It matures in steel for the first 6 months, then when fortification is carried out to bring the alcohol concentration up to 19%. It then spends at least 7 years in oak barrels.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: dark garnet red.
Nose: on the nose it expresses aromas of blackberry jam and dried berries, hints of tobacco and cocoa.
Taste: on the palate it is warm, full, enveloping, long and complex. Of great persistence.
COMBINATIONS
Anghelu Ruju is an excellent meditation wine, extraordinarily versatile as an accompaniment to cheeses and at the end of a meal, where it accompanies desserts of all kinds, enhancing chocolate ones in particular.
