Assajé Isola dei Nuraghi Carignano 2019
This wine was born as an experiment, certainly successful in 1997, from a blend of autochthonous grapes with a small part of Syrah. Assajé in Gallurese dialect means "it’s already something".

ORIGIN
Alberello vineyards owned by the Ragnedda family, reared in spurred cordon in Sulcis and Gallura, at a height between 20 and 100 meters above sea level.
PROCESSING AND AGING
The grapes harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October are destemmed and then subjected to soft crushing. It is then fermented and macerated in steel tanks for about 3 weeks. It ages in steel and cement tanks. It is left to rest for 12 months in French oak barrels. It is exceptional if left to age for 4-5 years in the cellar.
FEATURES
Color: intense red with violet reflections
Bouquet: fusion of ethereal and vinous notes, where it is possible to notice black fruits, cherry under spirit, blackberry, myrtle, spices, eucalyptus, cocoa and brackish notes
Taste: full, warm, savoury, with rich and concentrated ripe fruit and fine tannic texture; the finish is long and persistent.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Ideal to pair first courses with meat sauce, but also red meat stew, roast and grilled. Perfect also with game and mature cheeses.
