In this label the name Bagadiu , which in Sardinian means bachelor, single, refers to the fact that, compared to the classic tradition of Mandrolisai DOC, here the bovale is not “married” to the other two vines (cannonau and monica), thus resulting in a bachelor.

Vineyards trained as saplings in the heart of Mandrolisai, a hilly area at around 550 metres above sea level in the territory of Atzara , on the western side of the Gennargentu mountain range, on granite disintegration soils, with a medium texture tending towards sandy.
PROCESSING
The grapes, harvested manually towards the second half of October, are transported to the cellar where they are subjected to fermentation at a controlled temperature and maceration of the skins for about 15 days. Processing of the must in steel and maturation in oak barrels for 8 months, before bottling.
CHARACTERISTICS
Colour: intense and consistent ruby red, with purple reflections.
Aroma: long bouquet with hints of berries, cherries and Mediterranean scrub, light balsamic and spicy notes given by the maturation in wood.
Taste: fresh and moderately tannic, warm and soft, intense and persistent.
COMBINATIONS
Bagadiu is a structured wine that accompanies typical dishes of the land cuisine, mature cheeses, game and venison. Try it with sliced beef and roasted or stewed game.
