Bagadiu Island of the Nuraghi Bovale IGT
The "bachelor" Bovale of Mandrolisai: a pure native grape from the 550 meters of Gennargentu.
If you're a fan of pure native grape varieties and are looking for a Bovale that expresses its full personality without compromise, Bagadiu is the wine for you. The name Bagadiu means "bachelor" in Sardinian, because unlike the tradition of the Mandrolisai DOC, where Bovale is "married" to Cannonau and Monica, here the grape remains "single" to fully express its authentic character.
The grapes grow in the Fradiles winery vineyards, trained using the Atzara bush vine system, at 550 metres above sea level on Gennargentu, on granite soils that give them a unique freshness and minerality.
This wine is right for you if:
- You love discovering native vines in absolute purity
- Are you looking for fresh and mineral mountain wines?
- You appreciate labels with authentic local stories
- You like intense but elegant reds with great persistence
Bagadiu Bovale Isola dei Nuraghi Bovale IGT is appreciated for its distinctive characteristics:
- Pure "bachelor" Bovale without traditional blends
- Altitude 550 meters on the Gennargentu for extreme freshness
- 8 months of maturation in oak for complexity and softness
If you're looking for a wine that showcases the Mandrolisai region in an innovative yet respectful way, Bagadiu Isola dei Nuraghi Bovale IGT won't disappoint.
