Sella del Diavolo beer Barley Bière de Garde
Barley Brewery, Maracalagonis (Ca).
La Bière de Garde represents an identity style of beer, produced mainly in northern France, with great influence from Belgium. They are beers that are matured so that time nourishes their body and defines their broad complexity. There are very few productions of this type in Italy, the Barley Brewery falls into this narrow niche.
Foam: amber color with orange reflections and persistent crème colored foam.
Nose: caramel strengthened by fruity notes of black cherry and plum with herbaceous and peppery notes brought by a careful use of hops in the aromatic phase.
Taste: vinous and warm with a dryness that makes it balanced between fruity, toasted and slightly smoky notes and pungent and bitter notes, particularly in the aftertaste.
Excellent with traditional dishes such as roast lamb and spit-roasted suckling pig as well as with not too savory and medium-aged cheeses. Its biscuity notes allow pairing with chocolate-based desserts or with almond desserts or dried fruit.
75cl format, alcohol 6.5% vol.
