Birra Sella del Diavolo Barley Bière de Garde
Barley Brewery, Maracalagonis (Ca).
La Bière de Garde represents an identity style of beer, produced mainly in the north of France, with great influence from Belgium. They are beers that are matured, so that time feeds the body and defines its wide complexity. There are very few productions of this type in Italy, the Barley Brewery falls into this narrow niche.
Foam: amber color with orange reflections and persistent crème foam.
Bouquet: caramel strengthened by fruity notes of black cherry and plum with herbaceous and peppery notes brought by a careful use of hops in the aromatic phase.
Taste: it is vinous and warm with a dryness that makes it balanced between fruity, toasted and slightly smoky notes and pungent and bitter notes, especially in the aftertaste.
Excellent with traditional dishes such as roast lamb and suckling pig on a spit as well as with cheeses that are not too savory and medium-aged. Its biscuit notes allow it to be paired with chocolate-based desserts or with almond or dried fruit desserts.
Format of 75cl, alcohol content 6.5% vol.
