ORIGIN
Vineyards of Tenute Costera in Sarais and Sisini, in the countryside of Siurgus Donigala, on hills approximately 200 meters high characterized by limestone and clayey fractions.
PROCESSING
The grapes are harvested manually and, once transported to the cellar, they are subjected to red vinification, with extraction of the polyphenolic charge from the skins through maceration for about ten days. Costera then matures in vitrified cement tanks, where malolactic fermentation takes place, in order to increase its softness, before the final refinement in glass.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: ruby red, good consistency.
Aroma: clear aromas of red fruit, floral hints and some nuances of undergrowth, light spicy notes.
Taste: dry and warm wine, discreet softness, good freshness and well-shaped tannins.
COMBINATIONS
Perfect with pizza. It pairs well with medium-structured cheese platters, but also with tasty first courses such as ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach. Also excellent with traditional meat second courses such as lamb and spit-roasted suckling pig.
