Mas Balente Island of the Nuraghi
The term Balente derives from Balentia, which means value. The Balente is therefore the one who is worth, courageous, valiant. In Sardinian it often also takes the negative connotation of bandit.

100-year-old vineyards owned by the winery, trained as sapling in the Ortueri countryside.
PROCESSING AND AGING
The grapes are harvested by hand after a careful selection of the bunches. Each blend is separately subjected to destemming-crushing with subsequent fermentation of the skins in contact with the must for about 21 days in stainless steel vats, with frequent pumping over and dèlestages. The wine is then aged in oak barriques, where it completes its refinement before being bottled. Limited production of only 198 bottles.
FEATURES
Color: impenetrable ruby red.
Bouquet: notes of fruit jam, sweet hints of spices and Mediterranean herbs.
Taste: powerful flavor, whose remarkable alcohol content is well balanced between the structure and well integrated tannins. Persistent finish.
FOOD PAIRINGS
Excellent to accompany traditional Sardinian cheeses but also grilled red meats. The ideal serving temperature is between 14 and 16 ° C.
