GRAPES Vermentino
GRADATION 14%
ORIGIN
Vineyards owned by the winery, grown with low espaliers on calcareous soils at around 250 metres above sea level in the Coros area (SS).
PROCESSING
The manually harvested grapes are transported to the cellar and subjected to destemming and cold maceration of the skins. The free-run must obtained by soft pressing is started to alcoholic fermentation that lasts about two weeks. Mattariga matures in steel tanks, in contact with its own yeasts before the final refinement in the bottle.
CHARACTERISTICS
Colour: intense and bright straw yellow, with greenish reflections.
Aroma: fruity hints of tropical fruit, peach, mango and pineapple, citrus and floral notes such as broom.
Taste: intense, balanced, fresh and savoury, soft and full-bodied.
COMBINATIONS
Mattariga is a white wine perfect for an aperitif, while at the table it is excellent to accompany fried fish and vegetables, appetizers and delicate seafood first courses.
