GRAPE VARIETY Vermentino

ORIGIN
Winery's own vineyards, trained to low espalier on calcareous soils at about 250 meters above sea level in the Coros area (SS).
PRODUCTION PROCESS
The hand-picked grapes are transported to the winery and subjected to destemming and cold skin maceration. The free-run must obtained from soft pressing is fermented for about two weeks. Mattariga matures in steel tanks, in contact with its own yeasts before final bottle aging.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: intense and bright straw yellow, with greenish reflections.
Aroma: fruity hints of tropical fruit, peach, mango and pineapple, citrus and floral notes like broom.
Taste: intense, balanced, fresh and savory, soft and full-bodied.
PAIRINGS
Mattariga is a perfect white wine for aperitifs, while at the table it is excellent with fried fish and vegetables, appetizers and delicate seafood pasta dishes.
