GRAPES: Cannonau ungrafted

ORIGIN
The vineyards, owned by the winery, are located in Ogliastra, on the eastern coast of Sardinia, they are vines of about 30 years, grown ungrafted.
PROCESSING
The grapes are harvested strictly by hand and transported to the cellar, to then be sent for fermentation. Only free-run must is used and fermentation occurs in contact with the marc for a short period of time. This is followed by refinement in large oak barrels with subsequent long rest in the bottle before being marketed.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: light ruby red.
Aroma: intense, with floral and spicy notes given by the aging in the barrel.
Taste: dry and round sip, with good persistence.
COMBINATIONS
Perda Rubia is a robust red wine, excellent paired with red meat main courses, and also goes well with mature cheeses.
