ORIGIN
Vineyards owned by the winery, on mainly sandy soils in the coastal area, located in the surroundings of Narcao.
PROCESSING
Following manual harvesting, the bunches are subjected to whole bunch pressing and then fermentation. After a very brief cold maceration, the must is statically decanted. Fermentation, in steel and at a controlled temperature, occurs separately for the two types of grapes. It ages for about two and a half months in steel, of which 40 days on the fine lees. This is followed by three in cement tanks. It can evolve well and be consumed up to three years after the harvest.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: Straw yellow, with light greenish reflections.
Aroma: hints of tropical fruit and citrus nuances, light hints of aromatic herbs.
Taste: Soft and balanced, it is moderately warm, fresh and savoury.
COMBINATIONS
Samas is a white wine perfect to accompany fish-based dishes, such as linguine allo scoglio. It can also accompany savory pies and first courses seasoned with vegetables.
