ORIGIN
Ancient vineyards of the lower Sulcis, trained as saplings still ungrafted (Latin vineyard).
PROCESSING
Manual harvest of the grapes, which once in the cellar are sent for red vinification, through destemming and pressing and fermentation of the marc in the must in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature for about two weeks. Once alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are complete, Terre Brune is transferred to French oak barriques, where it remains for up to eighteen months. Final refinement in the bottle for twelve months , before being put on the market.
CHARACTERISTICS
Colour: intense ruby red, with light garnet reflections.
Nose: rare, complex notes of plums and blueberries, sweet spices, bay leaves, juniper, tobacco and chocolate.
Taste: softness and structure, freshness and strong flavour, dense tannic texture, intense and persistent.
COMBINATIONS
Terre Brune is a red wine with a great structure that goes well with roasts, grilled meats, game, enriched with aromas and spices and medium and long-aged cheeses.
