The name pays homage to an ancient Vernaccia variety still cultivated by a handful of growers, while the five different labels represent the canvases that Oristano painter Carlo Contini created for the winery, illustrating the millennia-old history of Vernaccia: from the Phoenician cellar to the banquet in Roman Tharros, from the Carta de Logu to the embarkation for Spain. Aged for 24 months in cement and barrels with flor yeasts, it offers notes of yellow flowers, white fruit, and Mediterranean scrub with a fresh, savory, and persistent flavor.
