ORIGIN

The winery's own vineyards are located in northeastern Sardinia, in the Vena di San Leonardo, among the hills of Alta Gallura.

PROCESSING

Grapes are harvested manually and then undergo soft pressing in the cellar to obtain the free-run must. This is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Jankara then ages in stainless steel tanks for six months, before final refinement for another two months in the bottle.

CHARACTERISTICS

Colour: Straw yellow with greenish reflections.

Aroma: Soft, balanced with an almond aftertaste.

Taste: Intense and persistent notes of Sardinian mandarin and white almond blossoms.

PAIRINGS

Jankara Vermentino is a perfect white wine for aperitifs, to be paired with traditional Sardinian cured meats. A perfect white to accompany structured seafood appetizers such as octopus salad or gattuccio in burrida, but also seafood pasta dishes and baked or roasted fish.
