ORIGIN
Vineyards owned by the Winery, located in the hilly area of Dorgali at 450 meters above sea level, trained as saplings and spurred cordons.
PROCESSING
The harvest begins with destemming and crushing of the bunches and fermentation of the must with the marc, left to macerate in truncated cone-shaped wooden vats at a maximum temperature of 28° C, for a period of 15 days. Once finished, it matures in fine French oak barriques, toasted for 14 months. It is then refined in the bottle, before being put on the market.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: Intense ruby, with a purple edge
Aroma: Intense, fresh and fragrant, notes of ripe red fruit and spices.
Taste: dry and full-bodied, tannins balanced with fresh acidity. Very persistent and clean finish.
COMBINATIONS
Hortos is a red wine with an ideal structure to accompany typical dishes of Sardinian regional cuisine; first courses with tasty condiments, grilled and roasted meats, mature cheeses.
