Vineyards located in the lower Sulcis.
PROCESSING
After being manually harvested, the grapes ferment and macerate for approximately 12-14 days in stainless steel at a controlled temperature; the wine is then refined in first and second passage French oak barrels for a period of between 10 and 12 months.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: Deep, dark ruby red.
Aroma: Intriguing and expressive, with intense aromas of wild berries, myrtle, leather and tobacco.
Taste: Full-bodied sip of rare softness. Closes on long fruity and spicy finishes.
COMBINATIONS
Rocca Rubia is an important red wine, excellent to accompany red meats, game and mature cheeses.
