Founded in 1953, the cooperative now brings together 30 member growers, covering approximately 250 hectares of vineyards spread across the Lower Tirso Valley, the Sinis Peninsula, Mandrolisai, and Gallura.
Clay soils shaped by millennia of Tirso river floods, moderate temperature swings, and a humidity unlike any other area in Sardinia: it is in this unique context that Vernaccia develops its flor yeast veil, and where Nieddera ripens its precious and sparse bunches.
For Cantina del Rimedio, winemaking has never been just a productive act: it is a commitment to the community, to the territory, and to those native grape varieties that — without this winery — might no longer exist.
