Tenute Perda Rubia's history began in 1949, when Mario Mereu opened the first bottling winery in the province of Nuoro, in Talana, focusing entirely on a grape variety that was then little known outside the island: Cannonau. In just a few years, PerdaRubia helped to make it known on international markets.
Today, in its third generation, the company works exclusively with its own grapes, the same own-rooted vines, in an Ogliastra region that uses no artificial irrigation or chemical fertilizers.
