A Traditional Method Zero Dosage Blanc de Noirs sparkling wine, made from red grapes native to northern Sardinia

If you are looking for a distinctive, refined, and unconventional Sardinian sparkling wine, Surrau Metodo Classico Dosaggio Zero Blanc de Noirs by Vigne Surrau will surprise you with its elegance and island identity.

It is made from a red-berried grape native to Sardinia, grown at an altitude of 50 to 100 metres above sea level on granite-derived soils and harvested in the second ten days of August. The grapes are vinified white using gentle whole-bunch pressing, fermented in stainless steel, and blended with reserve wines before the tirage. After the second fermentation in the bottle, the wine rests on the lees for at least 36 months, followed by 2 months post-disgorgement. A Zero Dosage wine that allows no corrections: only purity, terroir and time.

In the glass, fine bubbles animate a brilliant straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose reveals notes of white-fleshed fruit, white flowers, bread crust and minerals. On the palate, it is fresh and mineral, with creamy perlage and good persistence.
