ORIGIN
Vineyards grown in the Sulcis area, in the south-western tip of Sardinia.
PROCESSING
The grapes are hand-picked and taken to the cellar, where they undergo red vinification. The must remains in contact with the skins for about ten days, carrying out alcoholic fermentation with frequent pumping over. Buio Buio matures partly in French oak barriques for about twelve months and partly in cement tanks, before bottling and final refinement in the bottle.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: Light ruby red with cherry reflections. Clear and consistent.
Nose: Good intensity, fresh notes of fresh red fruit and flowers, complex hints of spices and new woods.
Taste: Rich, full, satisfying. Light acidity and soft tannins. Long and nuanced on the palate.
MATCHING
Excellent with furred game second courses, sweet and sour wild boar, aged cheeses.
