ORIGIN
85 year old vineyards located on granite disintegration soils in the hills of Sant'Antonio di Gallura, approximately 400 metres above sea level.
PROCESSING
Harvested strictly by hand, after which, once transported to the cellar, the grapes are subjected to destemming-crushing and red fermentation. Lu Nieddu matures in French oak barriques for a year , before the final refinement in glass for ten months.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: scarlet red.
Aroma: hints of vanilla and red fruits on the nose, slightly spicy.
Taste: soft on the palate and accompanied by an elegant flavour.
COMBINATIONS
Lu Nieddu is a structured red wine, ideal with meats and cured meats, perfect with typical first courses such as culurgiones filled with potatoes and tasty cheeses.
