Barrua was born from a joint venture between prominent personalities such as Giacomo Tachis, of the Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia Group, the Cantina di Santadi and the founder Antonello Pilloni.

ORIGIN
Typical grapes of the lower Sulcis grown between Narcao and Barrua with the addition of French varieties vinified in purity.
PROCESSING AND AGING
Manual harvest between September and October. This is followed by alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats and an aging of about 18 months in new French oak barrels. They then spend at least 12 months in the bottle to complete the maturation.
FEATURES
Color: intense and lively ruby red.
Bouquet: complex aromas of ripe red fruit, spices, notes of licorice and myrtle.
Taste: full-bodied and generous on the palate, it is characterized by a subtle and soft tannic texture and a spicy finish.

It goes well with game, red meats and aged cheeses.
