Gjola takes its name from the native red grape variety of the same name, which has been present in northern Sardinia for centuries, particularly in Gallura.

ORIGIN
Vineyards grown on medium-textured granite weathering soils, tending towards sandy, typical of this area, in the Gallura countryside.
PROCESSING
Once harvested, the grapes are delicately pressed with brief contact with the skins. The must is vinified off-white with fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 14 – 16° C. Before bottling, the wine matures for a few months in steel tanks.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: bright light pink.
Fragrance: delicate, hints of rose and small red berries such as currants and raspberries.
Taste: fresh, fruity and mineral. Slightly savory and balanced on the finish.
COMBINATIONS
Excellent as an aperitif, with shellfish-based appetizers and seafood stews. Perfect at the table with tagliolini with scampi sauce. Also ideal with Sushi and Sashimi.
