Gjola takes its name from the native red grape variety of the same name, which has been present in northern Sardinia for centuries, particularly in Gallura.

ORIGIN
Vineyards grown on medium-textured, sandy, granite-dilapidated soils, typical of this area, in the Gallura countryside.
PROCESSING
Once harvested, the grapes are gently pressed with a brief contact with the skins. The must is vinified in white with fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 14 – 16° C. Before bottling, the wine ages for a few months in steel tanks.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: bright light pink.
Aroma: delicate, hints of rose and small red berries such as currants and raspberries.
Taste: fresh, fruity and mineral. Slightly savoury and balanced on the finish.
COMBINATIONS
Excellent as an aperitif, with shellfish appetizers and seafood stews. Perfect at the table with tagliolini with scampi sauce. Also ideal with Sushi and Sashimi.
