ORIGIN
Vineyards trained as saplings and espaliers with Guyot and spurred cordon pruning, on soils rich in sand and clay, in the lower Tirso Valley and in the Sinis peninsula (OR).
PROCESSING
The grapes are harvested by hand and taken to the cellar, where they are destemmed and crushed. The maceration of the skins lasts about ten days, followed by soft pressing and the completion of the alcoholic fermentation. Maluentu then ages in glass-lined cement tanks, steel tanks and, to a small extent, in exhausted barriques, before the final refinement in the bottle.
CHARACTERISTICS
Color: purple red, intense and translucent.
Aroma: On the nose it is intense and persistent, with notes of vanilla and black cherry.
Taste: great intensity and persistence of aromas, good freshness and flavour, lively but pleasant tannins.
COMBINATIONS
It is an excellent red wine as an aperitif and can be a worthy accompaniment to meat-based appetizers, medium-aged cheeses but also red meats.
