GRAPES Muristellu (Bovale Sardo) and Merlot
GRADATION 14%
ORIGIN
Vineyards owned by the winery, at an altitude between 500 and 600 metres above sea level, grown on granite disintegration soils in the Monti mountains.
PROCESSING
Manual harvest of the grapes, which once transported to the cellar are subjected to destemming-crushing with maceration of the skins in the must for about fourteen days, during which alcoholic fermentation also occurs, in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature. The wine is matured first in steel containers and then in fine French oak barrels, before the final refinement in the bottle.
CHARACTERISTICS
Colour: intense ruby red, with light garnet reflections
Perfume: it has a long bouquet, of particular finesse, with hints of red fruits and spices.
Taste: the taste is broad, velvety, soft, rightly tannic.
COMBINATIONS
Serranu is an important red wine, which at the table can be paired with more elaborate, elegant and persistent dishes. It goes well with first courses and roasts of the land cuisine based on red meats and game, and mature cheeses.
